There is no gauge for this creek. The best is to evaluate it by sight from the route 28 bridge. The next best is to evaluate the Hudson river gauge as above. However, the minimum number is merely approx.

As of now, all wood is out of the lower stretch, except for one huge tree/log that crosses the entire width of the river....its right after the long slide, i.e. rapid before hells bells. Portage on the right. Edit

The upper 3.5 miles is a beautiful mostly class II section which runs right alongside Glen Crek Road. The lower 1/2 mile section moves away from the road and drops 120 feet! The name says it all - 'Hells Bells'. It is narrow, twisting, and high velocity. The wise paddler will walk along the shore first to check for straners.
