River Description

The section from North river to Riparius is much quieter than the above section. From North River to North Creek there are two rapids with much swift water in between. This upper section is good for those just learning how to paddle whitewater as it is immediately next to the road and can be scouted from the same. However, once the bridge in North Creek is passed you leave the road and the rapids begin to become more difficult. However, the rapids all the way to Riparius tend to be very straight forward with exception of the last one which is longer than the others. This section is appropriate for those who are desirous of stepping up to intermediate paddling. However, remember that the hike out is quite long if you decide that the rapids are too difficult.
