River DescriptionLOGISTICS: Starting from the town of Randle (Highway 12 mile 115), take Cispus Road south across the Cowltiz River and continue for one mile to the fork of FR 25 and FR 23. Take the left fork and follow FR 23. To reach the take-out, continue on FR 23 to mile 19.5 and the bridge across the river. To reach the put-in, head back the way you came on FR 23 and in less than a mile turn right on to FR 21. Drive 4.6 miles up to FR 56; turn right and go a quarter mile down to the bridge at the Adams Fork Campground. Check road conditions before you head down with the Cowlitz Valley Ranger District at 360-497-1100 or check the road status reports on the Gifford Pinchot National Forest web site. Gauge levels are very tentative. Use caution at the higher limit of flows as it gets rather beefy. The gauge was recently moved to a new location after the old gauge was washed out in a flood. Post a comment if you have additional information on the correlation to the new gauge.

As of May 11th 2007, the exit rapid below the pool at the bottom of the 14 foot entrance falls at the put in is choked with a nasty wood strainer. Unless it flushes, the falls will likely have to be walked.
