River Description

ACCESS: At Highway 101 mile 126.5 head east up South Shore Road. Drive past Quinault Lake and follow the road a few miles to a bridge that crosses the Quinault River and connects with North Shore Road. This is the put-in or you can continue up the South Shore Road and put-in near Howe Creek. You can takeout a few miles back down the road at a driftboat access on river left.

DESCRIPTION:

Like the Queets this is really more of a fishing river than a kayak run. There are a couple of little waves and eddy lines to play around on, but other than that you come here for the enjoyment of floating down a beautiful floodplain river. Beware of log jams. The current is powerful and in some cases these jams can create class III hazards.
