River DescriptionThis is a great run that has many different personalities. Starting at Rt. 50, the stream picks up quickly, heading into continuous boulder filled rapids. It drops around 100 feet in the first mile. Many of the drops are obstructed and there is a lot of manuevering required (very comparable to the Stony River nearby). It is always a good idea to be on the lookout for strainers in this part.After a mile, the creek lets up and flows along at a slow pace for a little while. After a mile or two of slow water, the creek picks up to Class 2 with occassional Class 3. It remains this way all the way to the North Branch. The rapids pick up a little as you approach the North Branch. There is a really fun slide just upstream of the confluence. StreamTeam Status: unverified
