According to Embick, this is a very difficult run. He rates it as V++ at 175-200 cfs, V-
with a portage at 300-350 cfs. "Suitable only for highly aggressive and technically very skilled
kayakers in short plastic boats." He also says that you can avoid the section of greatest gnarl
by taking the crummy Adeline Road by 4WD and then hiking upstream a couple miles.
