River Description

Very interesting geology in a less often run stream. River has numerous switchbacks where (at higher levels) the water (and boaters) will careen off rock walls, some with possible undercuts.

Some drops have been "modified" (dynamited by the DNR) to create fish-ladders to improve their upstream passage. These can become troublesome series of keeper holes for boaters.

A particularly fine ledge/falls occurs relatively early in the run. Boaters may enjoy carrying up to repeat plunging off this easy falls.

Gauge Description:

Measure down from cement 'hip' on downstream left of culvert at put in. A decent trip can be had at 27" down. Perhaps a tad lower, and certainly a bit higher, though switchbacks, undercut walls, strainers, and fish ladders could become a concern as levels increase.
