River Description

Glenns Creek is nestled in the very scenic horse farm country of Woodford County and is a surfer's playland at good water levels. Several perfectly formed class III surfdraulics are interspersed among easy class II drops. Strainers may be an ocassional problem and paddlers should be alert for farm fences when running the creek following long periods of dry weather.

Just wondering where exactly is the put in/take out for this reach?

As of 3/29/07, there is a 3/4 river wide strainer. The location of the strainer is where the creek approaches the town of Millville. We were able to move it enough to clear a channel on river right. Even so, there is an exposed root ball on the right bank that makes this a tricky run for those without good boat control. Allen Kirkwood Edit
