Rattlesnake Creek
Fishback Road to St. Rt. 28 II(IV)
River DescriptionThe short run above the falls consists of about 3 distinct sets of easy drops, with ok play features at optimal levels, and a 20+ ft waterfall. The best play feature on this section is the hole right above the third drop called Dead Deer Hole. Good eddy on the right. The waterfall is the reason to drive all the way up here! It must not be missed. This has to be the eaziest waterfall to run over 20 ft in the country. The pool is very deep and that allows you to try any off the lip trick out there. So look at it, get the video camera, and fire it up! If you set ropes it is an easy walk back to the top for multipule runs. At certain levels a nice riverwide hole forms about 100 ft upstream of the falls. It is shallow but great for spins. In that aspect it is almost as good as Swimmers on the Lower Yough. Just have a good roll because it would not be adviseable to swim due to the fact you do have a 20+ft waterfall downstream. Runnable only after heavy rains. Class: II (IV - falls below take out) StreamTeam Status: unverified

New Tree... Be advised. There is a new tree in the third drop. This tree can't be seen during the lead in. This massive tree is just under the surface and extends out from the river right bank all the way to the center of the creek. The perfectly placed in the main flow, so to get around it you need to bust the corner of the ledge hole on the left. This tree will need a saw or super high water to clean out. Today the water was at a great level 6.4ft. Edit
