River Description

Boulder gardens and a couple ledges make a fun run at high water. Mostly, action is pretty sparse until the river takes a big bend near Hwy.73 (where Jack Creek / Cunningham Creek meets this reach). At this point a significant ledge can provide some play. A fine dells/rapids (rocky walls) finishes the reach just below Hwy 95.

(Note: Observations and 'minimums' based on only one run at 1290cfs.)

Gauge

Gauge Description:

Listed minimum is for 'experienced' whitewater boaters. The reach is floatable much lower, but will generally be (again, for experienced whitewater boaters) a tame 'rock-dodge' run. (This may cause canoeists who are not experienced in whitewater, or boaters who do not have appropriate whitewater craft, to consider this reach very difficult and near scary at most water levels!)

Gauge/flow analysis based on data from 1963-10-01 to 2008-05-11
