Gradient from Embick's book. Embick writes: "The Kotsina...is awesome in power, speed, and violence. It roars out of the snouts of glaciers that grind down the precipitous southern flank of Mount Wrangell..."

The putin lat/longitude coordinates are those at the river's glacial source. Embick recommends putting in at the Kotsina Road, which comes off of McCarthy Road.
