The first drop is commonly run about ten feet off the right bank. The slide is fairly straight-forward -- just stay off the right wall/undercut. After that, it is class 2 all the way to the upper Locust.

There are rocks on both sides of the landing; I have seen broken boats and teeth there. Also, there is some barbed wire strung across the creek below. Don't let it sneak up on you, as there are few eddies between the slide and the L.F.
