Gauge

Gauge Description:

The Cragsville gauge is located 10 river miles downstream of the put-in. Two major tributaries (Cranberry, Cherry) flow into the Gauley between this gauge and the put-in. Thus this gauge can only be used as an indicator.

This is a nice run for a liesurely day of paddling with easily negotiated rapids for the novice but requires enough skill to keep the intermediate paddler intrigued. Don't try this at anything below a gauge level of 11 ft. or you will spend more time dragging and walking than you do floating and paddling. Edit
