River Description
This is the daddy (or grand-daddy) of artificial whitewater parks in the United States. The course was originally built primarily for whitewater slalom kayaking, and hosted numerous national competitions in the past. Nowadays, playboating is king, and the course allows a fine variety of play.
For 2008, the course will be open June 14 – August 10, Saturday 12:00pm – 5:00pm and Sunday 1:00pm – 5:00pm, Eastern Daylight Time (paddlers coming from Wisconsin and Illinois need to recognize this is a one-hour shift from Central Time.)
Go to South Bend Parks - East Race for the current details.
