The “Powerline Road” sign is gone.
The 48' minimum recommendation may be off a little. Late in January 2007, a small trip went from Walker Springs Bridge to Lost Dog Rapids when the Lamont river gauge read 47.5'. One large tandem canoe got stuck twice, but the other boats, one a solo canoe, the other a touring kayak, just scraped a couple of times.
SRWMD has added another on-line map to its revised Recreation Guide. It’s a reasonably good map showing access points, but not the informal access point at Aucilla Sink. http://mysuwanneeriver.com:81/recreation/tracts/cabbagegrove_jonesmillcreek.htm
