W. Simonton to St. Joseph River (1.5 miles)Class I-II
1.5 Miles
River DescriptionA small stream with nice clear water and some mild rapids. It runs through town but has a lot of park property along its banks. There are a few small play spots and eddys that make it a good place to take new boaters or just to get out in the spring. When you get to the St. Joseph paddle down and take out on the right, just upstream of the bridge. Watch out for trees and a small dam on the creek. Put in. Take Main Street north to West Simonton and go left to the bridge. Take out. Go back to Main and go south to a small park by the St. Joseph River just up stream of the bridge. If anyone has more info on this stream that people should know about please E-mail me. JayStreamTeam Status: unverified
