Gauge Information
River Description
Just a series of 4 or 5 REALLY BIG waterfalls.
They have all been run. Look for Overflow Creek to be high before Brasstown is running. The usual
routine is to run the falls then hike back up to the cars at the put-in. The final two miles to
the lake are pretty flat. There is good road access where the creek hits the lake.
Some boaters hike back out after running the second or third waterfall, because the major drops
are almost at the parking lot. The first drop can be a real back breaker.
The first two big falls. The one in the foreground is about a 30 footer. Photo by Brad
