bl. Elk Lake Creek to river mile 5.5

Class III-IV(V)
5 Miles

River Description

Lat / longitude coords are approximate, from TopoZone.

This run begins with four miles of class-II warmup, which includes several log portages; soon the bottom drops out, and there are several difficult rapids, some V+ with serious undercut danger. Read the description , as always with stunning pictures, in Jason Rackley's Oregon Kayaking site. Rackley also suggests that one might want to tack two miles of the Lower Collowash onto this run for added amusement.
