The river has no strainer free rapids and even the flatwater poses a serious strainer hazard. Considering that this "river" flows once every five years it is not worth the danger or effort. Believe me I left a boat here for over a week." In spite of Will's negative attitude about the run, or maybe as a result of it, a number of groups are waiting for a good rain to give the run a shot. With the drought of the last few years its been hard to catch the run with enough water. I for one am looking forward to hearing the trip reports. bradley The last mile of the river to the confluence with Tallulah drops at a bit over 400 feet and is full of wood. Be careful. Jan 2003.
