River Description

(Info editted from 'rstorz')
"There are two sections of white water...
Delhi Rapids right at Delhi park off of Huron River Drive:
a nice wave up at the top and then about 150 yard or so of whitewater, some decent eddylines near the bottom, although I am reluctant to play in them because of rumors of re-bar near the bridge.
A little further downstream is another play spot called Tubbs Rapids
a river wide drop in the river
[with] really nice eddylines and a couple little waves to surf."

2003-06-01 Jeff Stiegman provides:
"There is a nice surf wave about 300 yds upstream from Zeeb Rd. and about 2 miles upstream from Delhi.

There is another nice little spot about a 1/2 mile further up stream at the railroad tressle.

Both have reasonably good surf waves and stern squirt potential at flows above 500 cfs. The local clubs use these spots for instruction.

The rapids at Delhi offers great eddy practice for beginners with a half dozen tight eddies and small drops spread along its 150 yd length. But it gets pretty boney below 400 cfs. Tubbs (3/4 mile below Delhi) washes out into a series of near river wide wave trains above 800 cfs.
