Reedy River
River DescriptionThe put-in for this short but steep section of the Reedy is on McKelvey Rd at Huff Creek near the city of Fork Shoals. Boaters will float down the ten yards or less of Huff creek to a small ledge at the Reedy River confluence. From that point it is less than a mile to Cedar Shoals Dam. Running the dam would be stupid, but probably is survivable. Immediately below the dam is a short series of slides, a creek like channel, and waterfalls followed by some small waves. The best road access is here at Cedar Shoals but it is of questionable legality. There really are no other exciting rapids on the run so paddling five miles downstream doesn't seem all that worthwhile. Cedar Shoals is a nice set of good rapids near Greenville, Easley, and Clemson.StreamTeam Status: unverified
