River DescriptionThe best rapids are above Cedar Falls, but the park prohibits anyone to be in the stream above the Falls, even when it is dry due to people being swept over the falls in the past. The falls is reported to be ~90ft tall. Rocks are present at the base of the falls, especially at lower water levels. There are some Class II-III rapids below the falls which are probably legal to run, but the take-out road is outside the park on private land and likely gated. Better option is to take-out at the end of the river trail and hike back up the creek and out of the gorge. A quick search turned up the following sites containing photos of the Falls and creek: polytrope.com (many photos, mostly 'family' shots) hikingallery.com (four photos) russjohn (one photo) More information about the Park is available at Arkansas State Parks and Petit Jean State Park.
