Note: This creek is also refered to in some publications as "Galloway" Creek.
Calloway Creek was first run in 2002, and boasts numerous non-stop steep, vertical and chaotic
class IV slide-style rapids through a spectacular high walled canyon. There are 2 swinging fences
that alert paddlers may be able to pass under (depending upon flow levels) and (at this writing,
03.20.03) 2 river wide tree strainers that should be portaged.
First time paddlers of Calloway should posess good boat scouting skills or be following a
Calloway veteran as there are numerous horizion lines with poor bank scouting possibilities.
