River Description

Although not as exciting or as scenic as the Mansfield Bluff Run you can still expect to have a charming time on this Class 1-II stream as you dodge in and around trees, surmount a few log jams and enjoy the gentle shoals that punctuate a several very long pools. There are some pretty bluff lines, though nothing as impressive as seen elsewhere in the Cadron watershed.

Landmarks: At 1.3 miles the creek approaches Bluff Mountain (river right). At 2.3 miles Potter Branch enters from river left. At 2.8 miles Cedar Creek enters from river right.

Difficulty: Although its a Class I-II stream at its current level be prepared for unexpected logjams that may require portage.

Shuttle: From put-in go south on Highway 36 4.3 miles to take-out (limited parking on SW corner of bridge.

For additional information, shuttle and canoe/kayak rental please contact Cadron Creek Outfitters (Cadron Creek Outfitters, 501-679-5050).
