Check out my decent down Honey creek 4-1-07 @ 135 cfs http://geounderground.8k.com Honey Creek is a sensitive creek to run. The park doesnt have anything against kayaking the creek, but ive never pushed my luck. Ive always stayed above Turner Falls on the mile long stretch in the Bridal Veil area which is excellent paddling and empty of tourists for the most part. Most of the cops that patrol the park are pretty cool and laid back and im always cool with them but never bring up kayaking. I would never drop Turner Falls and discourage everyone from ever trying it. A drop like that would bring alot of attention, both good and bad, and i wouldnt ever risk my privilage of paddling to for that. Bridal Veil Falls is a 14' drop and has plenty of different lines to drop. If one is looking for something insane to drop and not have to worry too much about the park banning kayaks, there is a small creek that flows into Honey Creek just below Turner Falls. The creek is called Canyon Creek and contains 5 drops known as the Tea Cups totally 50 feet worth of drops. There are pictures on my website http://geounderground.8k.com Turner Falls is an exciting place but extremely over crowded in the summer. Anytime after April and before November the park is a little ridiculas and angry life guards scold you for everything. Plus they close the park just about everytime it rains.
