River DescriptionNOTE: The dam at this location has been responsible for more than a dozen deaths, including three Memorial Weekend, 2006 (at a level around 2250 cfs).DO NOT run the dam unless you have scouted it carefully, and have serious whitewater credentials, understand fully the danger of hydraulics, and have set safety. We do not need to add to the list of fatalities! There are plans to modify the dam to attempt to reduce or eliminate the powerful hydraulic at this killer low-head dam. Downstream of the dam, a small wave is good for beginners to learn to surf. At higher water levels, more experienced boaters may also find some merit in this park-and-play spot. There is a parking lot on the South side of the river, east side of 47 right at the bridge. StreamTeam Status: unverified
