River Description

This is a fun Vermont creek. The put-it is at Morse Hollow road. If your in the town of Poultney head east. When you see a big white church you are in East Poultney. Stay on route 140 until the first pull off. That should be deep rock. There are no trespassing signs up by the local land owner, but Vermont law states that if there are no official “No Trespassing” signs (by the state) and you need to walk through the land to get to or form the river that you are able to. If you keep heading up the road you will see different pull offs, feel free to take a look at the rapids (esp. Flat rock). There are two possible put-in spots before or after the bridge. Just look on the left side of the road for a trail to put-in below the first drop. If you want to put in before the bridge pull off on the side of the road and just walk up to the bridge and make your way down to the river.
