Tule, SF, CA

River Description

There appear to be several sections of classic bedrock drops and falls on several forks of the SF Tule. Many people have talked about boating here, but it is unclear what sections have been boated, if any at all. All of the steep bedrock sections are within the Tule River Indian Reservation and permission must be obtained for any activities.

Tribal office phone numbers are: (559) 781-4271 and (559) 784-7860.   Call ahead on a  weekday to get a permit to kayak on the river.   The office is closed on weekends.

The Eagle Mountain Casino is on this reservation so food and entertainment is close by. There is also camping at Cholollo campground. Camping permits are obtained at the tribal office.   Call ahead of time.

The latitude and longitude coordinates given are not accurate for put-in and take-outs, but are in the drainage to help get map searches started. Coordinates will be corrected if better information becomes available.
