River Description

Here is an odd short little piece of historic whitewater. The Sweetwater river cuts right through the mountain at Devils Gate. This is the site of the Oregon and Mormon Trails. The whitewater is not big and you want enough water to get past the small dam at the end of the canyon. With the right water levels there can be play waves or holes. Access to the run is either by the Mormon Church Property upstream or by walking 100 yards from the road at Rattlesnake Pass.
