I grew up in SE KY (near Redbird River @ Bright Shade, KY) I moved to OH when I was five. I hadn't heard of "creeking" in boats until I was 30+ yrs. old. Looking back, I can picture the gnarly mountain creeks I grew up stompin' in. I know of creeks where there are 10-15 ft. drops. However, activities of the area do not lend themselves to easy access. My husband was scared while driving in the area. Edit
