Gauge

Gauge Description:

Flow in this reach is dependent on a power plant at Gwinn, which generally runs during the day. Cited gauge is downstream of reach and Boney Falls Dam. Flow may not accurately reflect water in this reach.

Section can be run as low as 500cfs.
  500-1500   = class I
1500-6000+ = class II

Note: Be aware that indication of a 'runnable' level does not mean that the river is necessarily runnable. In winter, readings may be 'ice affected', and/or sections of the river may be impassable due to ice.

If you decide to run the stretch below the dam. Follow the river right bank (like you have a choice)about 200 yards along some sort of access road.It will bring you to a real nice/easy put-in site. 4/8/06
