Gauge Description:

As part of ongoing studies associated with the proposed hydroelectric license, another gage was installed at the Ohio Edison Dam in May 2006. This Advanced Hydro Solutions (AHS) gage will provide flow data on a 30-minute interval.

The below suggested levels were based upon the historic USGS gage data (unless noted otherwise) which includes flow input from the Little Cuyahoga River. The AHS gage readings reflect only what is flowing through this section, should present the most accurate information, and may be lower than the USGS gage; so an ongoing comparison of the data for both gages will be needed.

Class IV at 1200 or above. IV-V at 2500 or so.
