Gauge

Gauge Description:

USGS gauge, Army Corps of Engineers gauge (with reservoir information including inflow), the Corps is no longer providing their weekend outlook report for project operation. If you have found this helpful in the past consider calling the project office directly at 206-764-6702 and let them know that you'd like to see this information back online. They will respond that it is the job of the National Weather Service, but that only covers the weather and not dam operation which is of interest to the recreational commnuity (downstream gauge at Auburn available through the NOAA hotline 206-526- 8530). You can also call the dam directly at 206-764-6975 if you want to find out what they'll be doing with flows over the next couple hours. Most consider flows of 1200-2000 cfs to be ideal and this is the recommended range for your first run. 1450 cfs is a great level for Paradise Ledge. At flows of 2000-4000 cfs this is a fun expert bigwater run. At flows up above 5000 cfs, things get very big and pushy. It has been run up above 10,000 cfs, but you'd better know the lines.
