Gauge
Gauge Description:
When the Dry Fork is over 4000 cfs, Otter will be worth checking out. There is a gauge on the right bank in the pool above the last rapid before Otter dumps into the Dry Fork. The Otter Creek trail leads right up to it. This should read 3.3 or higher for a good run down the Upper. I have run it as low as 3.0 but some of the slides in the Upper section are rather bony. There is a gauge above the dam near the putin. If this is .7 or higher, you've got yourself a nice level.DRY FORK AT HENDRICKS, WV [ WV ] | |
