Gauge

Gauge Description:

There is no gauge for the S. Fk. Tye itself, but there is a painted (RC) gauge on the N. Fk. Tye at the confluence. The gauge is on the Rt. 56 bridge over the North Fork Tye at Nash.

NEW: Now there is a USGS gauge downstream on the main Tye at Lovingston. This may help:
Tye River at Lovingston

If the North Fork is running, the South Fork may be worth a look. Use a visual check of the put-in rapids below the Rt. 56 bridge as a barometer of the creek's "runnability."
