Although not a direct part of the 2008 Deerfield Festival, on the Sunday following the Fest there will be a USACK Wildwater Race down the Fife Brook section of the Deerfield River. This event is part of their weeklong run-up to the following weekends national event. This event is open to all ages, skill levels, and varieties of boats. More information about the event, including registration and waiver forms are available online.

Alden Bird Book Signing


Alden Bird, author of the Let it Rain whitewater guidebook, will be on hand to sign copies of his book. His book signing schedule will be:

Saturday July 26th
9am – 11am at The Outfitters Shop at Zoar Outdoor
5pm – 9pm at the Zoar Outdoor booth at the Deerfield River Festival

Sunday July 27th
9am – 11am at The Outfitters Shop at Zoar Outdoor

Other Nearby Events


Also on Sunday the town of Charlemont (the same town the Deerfield Fest is in) will be hosting the Yankee Doodle Days Fair “Charlemont’s Hometown Fair”. This fair will feature vendors, food, firewoorks, live music and a demolition derby.
