The run is composed of big boulder drops and runs thru downtown Chimney Rock, NC. The put in is the Route 64 Bridge. Take out is one of the roadside pullouts above the lake. Most of the rapids have some kind of hidden undercut, sieve, or debris in them. The water tends to run muddy when its up, which makes it even more difficult to spot the hazards. Major floods are always changing the rapids. Its pretty amazing to think that the power of water can roll rocks the size of cars.

The lower rocky broad is generally regarded as harder than the upstream stretch.
