6) Horseshoe Reservoir to Bartlett Reservoir
Class I-II
19 Miles
River Description
This stretch is pretty, and is a good senic/beginners float. To start at the dam, you have to bushwack through alot of reeds, and right after you get through the brush, river-center there is a one-shot, green, steep, wave that you can throw air-blunts on. Its flat from there on out and then there is a hole during the middle of the run. You can drive along the river-right hand side of the river, but it is a major off-road trail, and TONS of sand. So if you've got a tight truck, you might be able to park and play there, otherwise don't bother. The hole/spillover comes in over 1000cfs. AZ ELF Boaters, get out there if you can because it is probably the best, and closest thing you've got!
