FLOW was founded in 1996 to provide a full-service paddling club to Rochester and Western NY. Among club members are whitewater fans, touring kayers and OC2ers fond of canoe camping. FLOW is an American Whitewater Affiliate club, and is associated with the American Canoe Association though the Paddle America program. The Club manages a dynamic website, www.flowpaddlers.org, the best way to find out more about us. Members receive a lively newsletter, FLOWLINES, back issues of which are archived on the website. We hold monthly meetings with programs ranging from slide shows of trips to safety and boat building seminars. We've expanded to three winter pool practice venues to better serve the paddlers of Western NY. Social events are affairs not to be missed. Boating trips are our piece de resistance, and FLOW runs dozens of official and over a hundred unofficial trips each year. You'll find us on flat water from the Churchill River in Labrador to the Everglades. Whitewater calls us to the Black and the Hudson, the Kennebec, the Deerfield, the Gauley or the Chatooga.
