Richard Blakeslee Sr., 64, was fishing on the Kenai River with his wife, Jane, when their drift boat capsized. Their boat had been tied to an island. When they untied the boat, it was swept into a log and overturned. Both were pulled from the water by fishermen. Ms. Blakeslee was unharmed; CPR was performed on Mr. Blakeslee, without success. Neither of the two wore a PFD.
