Share the Love at Deerfield Festival Weekend - June 24-26 (MA)
Boaters from throughout the northeast will come together on June 24-26 in Charlemont, MA to celebrate the Deerfield River. The Deerfield Fest celebrates the transformation of the Deerfield River into a center for outdoor recreation in western Massachusetts following the signing of the historic settlement agreement with hydropower utilities more than 20 years ago. The event is AW's biggest fundraiser in the northeast. The Deerfeild Fest will be held on June 25th at the Charlemont Fairgrounds from 3-11 pm and will include live music, vendors, beer, and a silent auction. This year, AW is joining forces with Zoar Outdoor to create a Deerfield Festival Weekend that will include Zoar's Demofest with free clinics and boat demos throughout the weekend from professional instructors and industry representatives. The theme of this year's event is "Share the Love of Whitewater", and we are encouraging boaters to bring their friends and family and sign up for a beginner's clinic on June 25th. A portion of the clinic proceeds will benefit AW. We appreciate the support of Zoar Outdoor, Brookfield Renewable, boating equipment dealers, and others who are contributing to this event. For more information, see the Deerfield Festival Weekend event page.

The Deerfield was one of American Whitewater's first FERC relicensing victory's and remains one of the most impressive and valuable to the paddling community.
