By: Craig Plocica

The proposed RiverScape River Park in Dayton, OH is currently in a feasibility study and the McLaughlin Group will be seeking public input on March 30.  We encourage anyone interested not only in paddling but in outdoor recreation and/or downtown revitalization to attend.

This project is more than just creating a place to play for whitewater kayakers.  It’s about providing safe access for all levels of paddlers to navigate the river.  We need your input to help shape this project and convey the excitement it will bring to the Downtown Dayton River Corridor from paddlers and onlookers alike.

When:              Thursday, March 30 @ 7pm

Where:             Wegerzyn Gardens MetroPark Auditorium

                        1301 E Siebenthaler Ave.

Directions:          I-75 to Wagner Ford Rd., Turn West on Wagner Ford for ¼ mile, Turn North on Dixie Dr. for 100 yds, Turn West on Siebenthaler Ave. for ¾ mile, Go past the MetroParks Main Office ¼ mile and turn north into Wegerzyn Gardens MetroPark, follow the park road ½ mile to Wegerzyn Center on Right.

Please spread the word about this important meeting and show up with friends and neighbors in tow to share your ideas and help guide the future of the downtown riverfront.
