Join Us for the (virtual) Deerfield Fest this Friday!
Whitewater boaters from Maine to Pennsylvania gather each June in Charlemont, MA to celebrate whitewater boating and American Whitewater's river advocacy to protect, restore, and enjoy our northeast rivers. While we can't gather in-person this year, we'll be having a virtual Deerfield Fest Membership Event this Friday, June 26th at 7 pm (EST) . Whether your favorite river is the Deerfield or the Deschutes, the Kennebec or the Klamath, the Moose or the Merced, join us on Friday for an hour of great music, giveaways from Kokatat, Yakima, Hala and our other awesome outdoor industry partners, and to hear about AW's river stewardship work in the region and across the country. We'll have great music on Friday performed by Brooke Sofferman and Ben Thibbault, and we'll hear from some special friends who are core supporters of whitewater boating in the region.
While AW's festivals are a great time for us to come together as a paddling community, they are also important for supporting our organization through Membership . Each year at the Deerfield Fest, 80-100 paddlers either JOIN AW or RENEW their annual membership. As difficult as it was to make the decision to cancel our festivals this year, we still need your membership support. We've created this Deerfield River Membership Event to encourage our members and supporters to re-up. Use this special Deerfield sign-up form to be entered into a membership giveaway with a chance to win amazing gear like a Kokatat drysuit, a Hala paddleboard, or Yakima gift certificates. We'll be giving away some fun AW merchandise and other prizes for those who join us on Friday, so register for the virtual Deerfield River Membership Event today and you'll receive a ZOOM invite for this fun event in support of AW. Thank you and see ya on Friday! (Photo by Alan MacRae)
