AW's January Volunteer of the Month presented by Kokatat: Andrew Grizzell

Andrew (Andy) Grizzell has been an ardent supporter and champion of American Whitewater for decades. He’s the lead organizer of the annual Millrace Massacre and Iceman Championship, an incredibly challenging race circuit that takes place in Columbia, SC on the Saluda River. To get more paddlers out on the water in the winter, Andy came up with this event that has become a staple Southeast kayak race over the last 22 years. He’s turned the event into a significant fundraiser for American Whitewater and has donated thousands of dollars to our cause. We want to take a moment to spotlight his enthusiasm and to say, "Hey! Thanks!" by honoring him as our January AW Volunteer of the Month presented by Kokatat.

We also want to thank all the folks that help put on this grand event, we know that it takes more than the ringleader!
