Idaho Power and Milner Dam Inc. announced last week that while coordinating with the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation and major irrigators, they are projecting that flows of 10,000 cfs or greater in the Class V whitewater Milner Gorge Reach (Milner Mile) below Milner Dam on the Snake River are likely to be available during May 2012.

Flow predictions are based on a number of factors including, but not limited to snow pack, weather conditions, irrigation needs, flood control, and anadromous fish flow releases.  To get the latest available flow predictions, please call 1-800-422-3143.

The Milner Mile boasts massive whitewater.  Check out the AW river page (link to right) and the Idaho Power Milner page.  Flow must be requested by paddlers to occur.
