American Whitewater is asking all paddlers and river lovers to take 5 minutes and read our 2013 Winter Appeal (pdf). In this appeal, you can learn more about the hard work we will be doing in the coming year on behalf of river lovers everywhere.

We won’t sugar coat it, this Winter Appeal is our direct request to all whitewater enthusiasts to make a year end tax-deductible donation to American Whitewater. Your financial support helps fund our river stewardship program. We think our consistent successes and careful money management make us an excellent choice for a contribution.

If you’re wondering what we do with your donations, you might be interested to know that 84 cents of every dollar at AW goes directly to our stewardship and education work, a top-tier percentage amongst non-profits. Furthermore, thanks to an organization wide effort to provide transparency and operate efficiently, Charity Navigator awarded American Whitewater with its fourth consecutive 4-star (highest possible) rating. Only 6% of the nonprofits Charity Navigator rates have received four consecutive 4-star evaluations.
