American Whitewater is proud to announce our March 2014 Volunteer of the Month: Don Perkins!

Don was part of the rockstar crew that recently put on the National Paddling Film Fesitval (NPFF) in Kentucky. As many folks may know, NPFF is a great supporter of American Whitewater, raising several thousands dollars for our river stewardship work each year.

NPFF Director, Bethany Overfield (past Volunteer of the Month herself), had this to say about Don:

I would like to nominate Don Perkins as the AW Volunteer of the Month recipient. Don was an invaluable member of the National Paddling Film Festival (NPFF) team this year. He did amazing work with the NPFF web site last year and continued that tradition of excellence. In addition, Don took over the silent auction this year and did a superb job. He also ended up taking care of multitudes of other tasks that came up throughout the planning and execution of the event. He was always one step ahead of me and the event would not have been as successful without him. He's a modern day hero.

Thanks for all the hard work, Don!

In recognition of his work, Don will be receiving a custom Kokatat Woolcore Shirt!
