American Whitewater’s 2016 Summer Appeal

American Whitewater works to protect and restore whitewater rivers across the country, and we rely on your ongoing support to keep us going strong. Your membership dollars and donations support our river conservation, access and safety work on the rivers that you love. Each membership dollar that AW receives is leveraged to generate $4 in total funding directed at supporting river stewardship.

 

Twice each year, we reach out to you to ask that you become a member or renew your membership to American Whitewater, or to consider making a tax-deductible donation. Please take a moment to see what your contribution will support next year in our 2016 Summer Appeal.

 

From securing protections under the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act and restoring flows to rivers impacted by hydropower, to advocating for removing deadbeat dams, protecting flows threatened by water resource projects and our access and safety work, we've got our work cut out for us in 2016. As a whitewater lover and fierce defender of rivers, your support is more important than ever to help us see these projects through.

 

Rest assured, your donations will support river stewardship projects across the country throughout 2016. American Whitewater recently received our sixth straight 4-Star Rating (the highest possible) from Charity Navigator for our financial practices and transparency. Only 3% of the charities Charity Navigator rates have received at least five consecutive 4-star evaluations, showing that American Whitewater outperforms most other charities in America.
