What is Colorado Gives

"Each December Coloradans come together with the common goal to strengthen the community by helping to power nonprofits. Community First Foundation and FirstBank partner to make this day rewarding for givers, nonprofits and the community as a whole... Colorado Gives Day has grown to be the state's largest one-day online giving event, raising more than $182 million since it began in 2010." - ColoradoGives.Org

Community First Foundation and FirstBank created a $1 Million Incentive Fund to proportionally increase the value of every donation made to nonprofits on Colorado Gives Day. For example, if American Whitewater recieves 10% of the total amount donated on CO Gives Day (from folks like you) then we will recieve an additional 10% of the $1 Million Incentive Fund ($100,000)!

Why donate to AW on Colorado Gives Day?

All donations made to American Whitewater on Colorado Gives Day (December 4) will be put towards our River Access Program in Colorado. American Whitewater works to improve river access and public safety throughout the state by working with landowners and managers, paddlers, law enforcement, and lawmakers to understand Colorado's river access laws and the ongoing threats to public safety. Paddlers and anglers in Colorado are consistently harassed or threatened by landowners or law enforcement in areas of Colorado, and American Whitewater works diligently to find solutions to these conflicts as they arise.

Donating to AW on Colorado Gives Day will ensure that your donation is increased by the $1 Million Incentive Fund, making the most of your donation to our work in Colorado.

Please consider donating today to help protect and improve river access throughout Colorado. You can schedule your donation here now! Make sure you click on "CO Gives Day" under the "Donation Frequency" option.

Thank you for supporting our River Access Program in Colorado!
