PG&E is tentatively planning a pulse flow for this Saturday, March 8 on the Rock Creek and Cresta reaches.  March pulse flows are required in Normal and Wet water years and the water year type should change to normal when the DWR March forecast comes out.   PG&E operators plan to have the flow on the Rock Creek reach ramped up and flowing at the required 1600 cfs by 8 am on Saturday.   The Cresta reach is scheduled to be at the 1600 cfs level about 5 hours later (1:00 PM).  The required duration of the pulse flow is 12 Hours.  After 12 hours, flows are ramped down at less than 150 cfs per hour.  At this rate we expect that the flows on the Rock Creek reach would be back to the minimum flow range about dawn on Sunday (also note that daylight savings time starts Sunday).  For the most current information please visit the release information calendar for the most up to date information on these releases or any other releases that have been negotiated by American Whitewater.  Please check the release calendar before heading to the river as the water year forcast could cancel the release for this weekend.
